QTO Add-in for Revit
Quantity Take-Off, native in Revit.
Tag elements. Compute quantities. Export to XPWE or Excel. The QTO add-in turns your Revit model into structured BoQ data โ without leaving the modeling environment.
Why QTO?
Bring your own price list
Connect any price list โ Excel workbook, JSON catalog, or SQLite database. Map your columns once, define work categories, and export structured BoQ data in the open XPWE interchange format. Reuse the same setup across every project.
Dual storage for compliance
Every quantity is written in two places โ Revit model (authoritative) and standard Shared Parameters. Third-party validators can audit your model from Revit schedules without installing the add-in.
Model to BoQ in 4 steps
Setup โ Tag โ Compute โ Export. Configure your price list once, tag elements with cascade filters, compute geometry-driven quantities, export structured data. The full loop fits in a single Revit session.
How it works
Step 1
QTOSetup
Connect your price list (Excel, JSON, SQLite). Map columns. Define work categories.
Step 2
QTOTag
Tag Revit elements. Cascade filters by chapter and category. Multiple codes per element.
Step 3
QTOCompute
Compute quantities from geometry. Per-category formulas mapped to Revit parameters.
Step 4
QTOExport
Export to XPWE or flat Excel for Power BI. Active WBS tree included.
What you get
The add-in is free for internal-use BoQs. The Pay tier unlocks delivery formats and AI features for studios working with public procurement and external collaboration.
